I could not decide where to put this one, but as it involved more computer stuff than woodwork I decided to put it here.
I’ve always enjoyed arcade games, Space Invaders, Galaxians, Pacman, etc, and it is great to still be able to play them today (see my Space Invaders emulator) so I decided I wanted some sort of standalone retro arcade system for myself. Along the way I came across this build YouTube which I thought was great. It also has links to installing RetroPie with ROMs on USB stick.
In the end I decided to go for a fight-stick type of box that could be plugged into any TV’s HDMI port, power up, and play.
The intention is to include a Raspberry Pi 4 within the box, but I have not got around to doing that yet (TODO).
